Writers Workshop With Zach

At school the kids participate in a program called Writers Workshop. Each day they work on writing, editing, and illustrating short stories of their own creation. JT's process is obviously more involved as a story can take up most of the year, where as Zach works daily on various prompts.

I was reviewing his work that came home today which included several pieces from Writer's Workshop. He wrote a piece about playing baseball and ended his piece with the following:

"My broser (brother's) name of his teme (team) is Voodoo. It is a funy name if the V was D. Doodoo"

a small miracle

I was out at Old Navy the other day. Apparently I am the only parent that didn't prepare her children for the onset of the Texas winter; which basically means JT didn't have any jeans or long sleeve shirts. I tried almost every pair at Target and nothing worked. I decided to take a trip to Old Navy.

While in the baby department I saw a woman with newborn twins. I was giddy with excitement that I actually got to see new twins out in public. So giddy that I spoke to the mom. We exchanged baby talk at which point she mentioned that taking twins out was so much easier than taking out her older children. I learned that she her two "older" children were 2 and 3. I honestly have no clue how she manages but I at least feel at tad bit better that I finally saw new twins in public.

Welcome to the Family!

We are so dang excited to welcome a new member to the Flisakowski clan: June Harper Flisakowski.
I should have written down all her stats but I can tell you she was 6lbs (and some ounces) and was born at 9:50 this morning.

Not sure when we will meet up but we can't wait to see her. Hard to believe there will soon be 3 little girls who are just a month apart in the Flisakowski/Lucas family. It will be so much fun when we can get all 3 girls together along with the 1 big girl and 2 big boys.
